"9-Mile Canyon has been called the longest art gallery in the world, some of the most famous petroglyphs on Earth are found here.   These canyons were the home of the Fremont Indian culture for over a thousand. They mysteriously disappeared about 800 years ago, leaving behind innumerable clues to their rich history.   Tucked away in an isolated canyon in Eastern Utah, Range Creek Canyon was virtually unknown to the world for 100 years.  In 2003 the owners sold the property to the state of Utah.  The canyon is now managed by the University of Utah Museum of Natural History.  The San Rafael Swell is filled with mysteries to explore, some that date back thousands of years.  Carbon Rec has been doing tours in 9-Mile Canyon and the San Rafael Swell for 20 years and initiated tours in Range Creek Canyon nine years ago.  You will travel in air-conditioned vehicles from Price.  Lanyne Miller and/ or Juanita McEvoy will be your guide(s) on this remarkable journey through time.  Together they have over 30 years of guiding experience. Their many stories add significantly to your experience." (direct quote from their flyer)
