The Helper Arts and Music Festival is an event that has its roots in the heart of Helper’s historic and vibrant arts community. Our mission is to promote and provide the community access to the visual and performing arts fostering an appreciation for all art forms and achieving a better quality of life in our community.

Festival patrons enjoy three days of stellar fine arts and crafts in the Artists Marketplace featuring over many booths. From free live music on the park main stage to theatre performances at The Rio Theatre to the annual custom car show, there is always something new to see at Carbon County’s only fine arts festival.

Helper Arts and Music Festival has been an annual event, and the only event of its kind, in Carbon Country for the last 20 years.   As the community’s premier event, the festival brings together our city, town and region for an exciting and unique art experience tha hs also served as a catalyst for reviving the once struggling town of Helper.  The festival is attended by thousands from Utah and the surrounding Western states, a popular destination of gathering family and friends.

The focus of the festival is primarily to expose and promote working artists by engaging them with display opportunities and art competitions in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, dance, and music.  For the younger generation of artists, we host an annual youth art exhibit through our Art Smart Classes, coordinated through our local school system, and hands-on education experience at our Children’s Art Yard. The open-air art market has only quality, handmade works for sale by exhibitor’s hat have been juried into the show.
