Here's just a little bit about Carbon county and eastern Utah

"Carbonville is located about halfway between Price and Helper, on U.S. Highway 6, approximately 60 miles south of Provo, Utah.  Carbon county has a rich history which includes railroading, coal mining, and ranching.  The "Old West" was alive an well here.  Coal was discovered in the 1870's and many coal camps sprung up.  The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad came next and made Carbon county a hub for transporting coal.  Many laborers emigrated from Italy, Greece, Croatia, Yugoslavia, France, Germany, Japan, and Carbon county became a melting pot of many different cuitures with distinct traditions.  In 1897, Butch Cassidy held up the Castle Gate payroll, and made off with $8,000 in gold and silver.  The town of Helper (named for the "Helper" train engines) became a hub of activity with many saloons, hotels, and eateries as well as houses of ill-repute.  It was a wild western town, during the expansion of the United States westward, and was home to cowboys, outlaws, railroad men, and coal miners.  Nowdays, Carbon county has settled down quite a bit, but the history remains, and there are museums and monuments which make an account of the county's colorful history.

The Blue Cut RV Park is located in the center of the county, between Price and Helper in Carbonville.  The park is located on a level site adjacent to the Price river.  Steep cliffs are located to the east, providing a nice backdrop.  The park has many mature trees that provide shade in the summertime.  Located a short distance from U.S. Highway 6, the park is easily accessible for any size RV. We have full hook-ups with water, sewer, and power.  There are both 30 and 50 Amp hookups.  We have several pull-through spaces for larger RVs.  There is a large dumpster for garbage, and a laundry facility.  Many of our visitors are repeat customers who enjoyed the scenic location.  We have an on-site manager who can assist you, and you are welcome to call me any time.  Our RV park is personable, scenic, and convenient, making it a good value.  We typically have an annual barbecue in the later summer months.  Come visit, and enjoy your stay at the Blue Cut RV Park!"
