Q. How do I get to Nine Mile Canyon? | En Nine Mile Canyon

A. We have provided maps below. It takes about 2 hours to get from Salt Lake City to the Walkers Chevron in Wellington. And from Walkers Chevron in Wellington to the beginning of Nine Mile Canyon is another hour. Please note that Nine Mile Canyon is not 9 miles long–it is a 40 mile long canyon. The road is completely paved and easy to travel in any type of car. To get the most out of your experience, plan your trip accordingly so that you can be in Wellington between 10 AM to 12 PM. Although Nine Mile Canyon is here to stay, our amazing hosts are only on site for a limited time.

Q. Should I bring food and water? | Agua y Alimentos

A.  Nine Mile Canyon may feed your visual appetite, unfortunately it won’t feed your hungry stomach or quench your thirst, so don’t forget to pack your own lunch and bring a water bottle! If you’re not in the mood for a homemade meal…no worries. You can stop by the Walkers Chevron gas station in Wellington and grab snacks or a sandwich from Subway.

Q. What else do I need to bring? | Que Cosas para Llevar

A. Aside from food and water, we recommend bringing a camera and perhaps some binoculars. Nine Mile Canyon can get pretty warm during the day so wear light layers to protect yourself from the sun. However, it can be a bit chilly in the morning or early evening so bring a jacket.
