The Sawmill Canyon Loop weaves through the Cretaceous ages Balckhawk and Priver formations. The Price River Formation includes the Cliff forming Castlegate Sandstone visible in many canyons.

Basic Directions
From Price, travel by car 19 miles south to the town of Huntington and proceed 20 miles up Huntington Canyon along State Highway 31 to Nuck Woodward Canyon. Proceed up FR110 to Sawmill Canyon Trail.
