The golf course is one the best-maintained courses the state. It is in almost perfect condition. Many mature trees border the older 9 holes. The upper 9 were opened in 1994. (The upper 9-holes of the course are a fun choice for beginners.)
The course is highly rated for customer service. You can hop on a round at almost any time. Walk-on golfers are accepted. About 55,000 9-hole rounds are played at this course each year. The Carbon Country Club is reasonably priced. When you make your tee-time reservation ask for specials.
Grab a bite to eat at the snack bar or dine in the full service restaurant (open to members only, temporary memberships are available for purchase.) Or dine at one of the great restaurants in Helper or Price. Consult the restaurants database for more information.

The scenery at Millsite Golf Course is unreal. This nine-hole course sits at the base of magnificent desert cliffs, near Millsite Reservoir.
This is a challenging course, but well worth the experience for any golfer. It is unique because the fairways are isolated. The course winds its way down to Millsite Reservoir’s dam and then back up. There are many elevation changes. In May and June water spills from the dam, creating a waterfall and stream that runs along some fairways.
Anytime of the day is good to play at Millsite. The course is constantly changing as the shadows of the surrounding mountains move. Late afternoon is the very best time to play.
Eat lunch or dinner at the casual restaurant on the golf course. There are camping facilities at the Millsite State Park, within a mile.
First night’s lodging: stay at a hotel in Price, Green River or Ferron. Consult our lodging database for more information.
Day 2
Morning: play Green River State Park
Green River State Park Golf Course
Golf 9 holes in about 1 ½ hour
Course size: nine holes, par 36
Location: near Main Street in Green River City
Directions: take the Green River exit, turn south at City Hall; the parking lot is behind the City Hall
Contact info: (435) 564-8882

“We are very proud of our greens. They are in top shape. Our course layout is fabulous. There are 2 holes along the Green River, mature tree-lined fairway boundaries and many water hazards. This course is friendly yet challenging,” explained Eugine Swalberg, park manager.
Situated along the banks of the Green River, the course is a contrast of beautiful waterways and ponds with tall cottonwood trees.
Because of Green River’s temperate weather, the course is open year round. The course’s busiest month is actually December! Green River can be a favorite golfing retreat when all of the other courses are “snowed in.”
This nine-hole course is exciting for both the pro and the novice. The tees offer quite a bit of variety so it makes it possible to have a different game every time. Because the coarse runs along the river it is very attractive.
“Six of the nine holes have water. This course is my favorite because of its scenic beauty and it is challenging,” commented one golfer. There are camping facilities at the adjoining Green River State Park.
Afternoon: Eat lunch in Green River or Price. On your way home, golf 9 more holes at Carbon Country Club.
