River Raft and Trail Ride Combination Trip

Hondoo Rivers and Trails and Moki Mac offer several opportunities for you to combine a rafting vacation with a horseback trail ride trip.

The trail ride takes place in the uniquely beautiful San Rafael Swell region west of Green River, Utah.

The rafting portions of these trips coincide with several of our regularly scheduled Desolation Canyon or Cataract Canyon trips.

Our Cataract Canyon trips, launching at Mineral Canyon on the Green River, and taking out at Hite Marina on Lake Powell, will introduce you to a slice of this magical country. You'll float a fifty mile section of the Green River through beautiful Labyrinth and Stillwater Canyons, see the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers, experience the famous rapids of the Colorado's Cataract Canyon and end the trip on the northern tip of Lake Powell.

We offer this trip as a six day rowing or three day motorized rafting expedition, which will include side canyon hiking opportunities, time and weather permitting. Some of our rowing trips may be accompanied by a motorized support raft in high water levels.

Make your reservation with our office. Meet us in Green River City the evening prior to the trip. The following morning you'll fly from Green River to Mineral Canyon for the river launch. You can drive to Green River and leave your car at our place. At the end of the river trip, we'll return you to Green River from Hite Marina, by van or bus. If you are flying out to join us, book your flight into Salt Lake City, Utah or Grand Junction, Colorado, and rent a car or take a van shuttle for the drive to Green River (see the map and mileage for more information.)

The trail ride portion, 6 days in length, will either precede or follow the river trip. Camping gear, meals and pre-trail ride accommodations are included in these combination trips. Please see the Rates and Dates information for exact schedules.

Cataract Canyon "Ride and Raft" Combination Trips

9 or 10 Days: $1655.00/Adult & $1445.00/Child + 6.6% Tax. $200.00/person deposit required. Combination trail ride expeditions with Hondoo Rivers and Trails and our regular three-day Cataract Canyon trips, with the raft trip following the trail ride. Trips begin in Torrey, Utah.

Trip prices include sleep kits and tents for both portions, as well as lodging before the trail ride portion. Transportation between Torrey and Green River, Utah can also be arranged.
