The biking opportunities in Castle Country are almost unlimited. From the vast desert terrains with impressive butte and mesas to the mountainous regions with their lush forests, biking is a popular activity in the region.

The San Rafael Swell provides some of the best fat tire biking around. The miles of gravel roads take cyclists on a trip through time into the land where dinosaurs walked and early Native Americans left their marks.

The 40-mile long Nine Mile Canyon offers bikers challenging altitude changes and breathtaking scenery. As you bike, you will notice the rock art, storage structures village sites of the ancient Fremont Culture. With many side canyons to explore and a well-maintained roadway, Nine Mile Canyon is a must for any cyclist.

If you prefer the quiet solitude of the mountains, the Manti-LaSal National Forest provides hundreds of miles of bike trails just for you. Near Joe's Valley Reservoir, trails wind through lush forests that open up into vast panoramas of the valley below.
