The museums in our region each focus on unique aspects of the area's exceptionally diverse natural and human history.

The College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum, located in Price, offers extensive dinosaur and archeological exhibits. See dinosaur bones and Native American artifacts that cannot be found anywhere else.

The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry is a working quarry offers a close-up look at some of the hundreds of fossils found in the area. The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry has sent bones to museums around the globe. Public tours are welcomed at the visitors center.

The John Wesley Powell River History Museum and Gallery tells the story of the men who explored and charted Green and Colorado Rivers. This museum is a sight as amazing as the mighty Green River itself. The River Gallery exhibits fine desert art. It is located in Green River.

The Western Mining and Railroad Museum chronicles the period from the late 1870s to 1950, and offers a glimpse at the immigrants who came from all over the world to work in Castle Country's mines and on the railroad. The museum is in historic Helper.

The Museum of the San Rafael reveals the secrets of the mysterious San Rafael Desert. The wild life, geology and dinosaurs found in the area is on display. This museum is well worth the trip to Castle Dale.
